I took these pics in our living room in the natural light. I'm using my 50 mm all month-it's a good idea to do this because you will learn how your lens "sees" the world. Then-before you know it, you will know exactly what lens you need to use before you even take the picture... I am going to be buying the lightscoop which is supposed to really help with harsh shadows, etc. when using the pop up flash.

My First "official" Blog
I'm glad I finally started this blog. I've putting this off way too long now because I was thinking it had to be perfect. I know there is no such thing. I will do my best to post at least 2 x's per week...
These first photos that I am posting are pics that I took of my kids. I know whoever follows this post, will be seeing a lot of my kids. They are perfect material for this Blog. I took these outside mid-day which is usually the worst time to take pics..but it was cloudy. I took these with my 50 mm lens. I really like this lens because the aperture opens to F 1.8 which is the largest aperture setting. When you have a large aperture setting, it helps to blur the background.
